A New New Mexico Begins Now
New Mexico is the “Land of Enchantment,” but for far too long, its potential has gone untapped. I am running for Governor of New Mexico because I refuse to stand idle while our people face issues we have the power to solve: water scarcity, rising energy costs, struggling small businesses, failing education systems, and the labor shortages poised to hit our communities in the coming years. I am running for Governor of New Mexico because I believe in making decisions based on factual data, not political agendas. I am running for Governor of New Mexico because I believe every New Mexican, no matter their background, income, or beliefs, deserves a place that offers opportunity, stability, and hope. As I always say, “Decisions must be based on New Mexico 1st, not agendas, not politics, only what’s best for our people.”
The passion inside me for this state is something I cannot ignore. I want to restore our rivers, support our farmers, uplift our youth, protect our businesses, and unite our cities so we can move forward as one. My dream is simple: to put New Mexico 1st in every decision, to transform the Land of Enchantment into the Land of Opportunity, and to build a smarter, stronger, and more unified future. It is now or never. Together, we can create a “New” New Mexico, a place where every citizen can grow, thrive, and be proud to call home. Because to me, “New Mexico is gold, a land of opportunity and potential,” and it’s time we rise into all we can be.

I am a Visionary. I am a Dreamer. I am a Builder. I am a Manager. I am an Entrepreneur. I am a Servant to the people. I am a Leader. I am a Mentor. I am a student, an athlete, a devotee, a brother, a son, a friend, and a father of four dogs. I am normal with imperfections, but I am caring, I am loving, I am tough, I am determined, and I am passionate. Everything I am, every layer, every lesson, every flaw, has been shaped by the state I call home. I am Tristan Kumar. I am a New Mexican.
I’ve seen the challenges our communities face. I’ve watched small businesses fight to stay alive, farmers pray for water, youth search for opportunities that should be abundant, and families carry burdens they should not have to bear. These experiences didn’t distance me from New Mexico, they anchored me to it. They ignited the belief that we can build something extraordinary here. And as I always remind myself, “Real leadership means making decisions based on factual data and what’s best for the people, not party agendas or politics.” I am not running because I am perfect. I am running because I love this state with everything in me, and I believe its people deserve a future as strong, vibrant, and full of promise as their spirit.
